Tweetly-tweetly-tweet...

I've tried but I can't think of any way I would use Twitter. Unless of course I become famous and people want to read what I'm doing 24-7. Thankfully, I don't foresee that happening in the near future.
I do think it's useful for news or sports organizations that have frequent updates and bulletins to pass on, but it's a stretch for me to see how libraries could use it. I understand that there are the occasional announcements that we need to get out to our patrons but isn't email sufficient??

Blogging

I wasn't really sure about this blogging thing, but it was pretty easy to set up and I've enjoyed reading other's blogs. Personally, I think it would be fun to have a blog to update a vacation or share an event. I think a library blog would be great! We could post events, updates and other news items to the public as well as posts regarding new books, recommended books and book reviews. It also could be handy to have one for our staff as a way to commuicate and be up-to-date on all the library happenings.

7 1/2 Habits

I think one of the hardest habits for me is actually the first. I usually jump right in to new challenges or projects with a general goal in mind-I know what the end result should be but I don't create a specific goal or a specific plan to reach that goal. As a result, I end up scrambling to meet my goal or I get sidetracked by other new projects and neglect the original project.
One of the easiest for me is having my own toolbox full of helpful gadgets including my co-workers, friends, books, and of course the internet! I don't know what I did before I could google my random questions :)
